Get involved with the Man Booker Prize with online resources for librarians

Downloadable resources

The Man Booker Prize offers libraries a range of opportunities to get involved with the prize. From 9th September, to coincide with the announcement of the shortlist, a full range of downloadable resources will be available. These will include

A giveaway leaflet featuring all shortlisted titles and authors
A Reader Review card for staff or library users to complete and display alongside the individual shortlisted titles
A Reading Group Toolkit containing ideas and support for Readers Groups that would like to shadow the prize
Reading Group Guides for the six shortlisted titles that provide readers with background to the author and their writing and ideas for ways to approach the text. The Readers Guides will also provide readers groups with a range of starting points for group discussion
Posters that are updated during the prize process - including a poster detailing the shortlisted titles, and a poster featuring the winning title

Reading Group Guides for the 40th Anniversary Best of the Booker shortlist and the 2008 shortlist titles are available to download now.

Branded display material

All UK public library authorities will be sent a free package of branded display material which includes A4 posters, large posters and stickers. Sufficient materials will be supplied to create a Man Booker Prize display in at least a third of all service points.
